  • New enough, big enough (4100+ characters), and inline citations on every paragraph, except lead paragraph. The claim in the lead paragraph, that Wear was a co-founder of the State of Franklin, is not found in the main article text, so it needs a citation. AGF offline sources. One external link was broken, but attached to a statement supported by another citation, so I commented it out. No plagiarism detected.

  • GenQuest, sourcing issues do remain with the hooks as follows:
  • Original hook: the article does not say that Wears Fort (one source says "Wear's Fort") was his residence, simply that he established a stockade by that name in 1782. It does say the constitution was drafted there, but this comes from FN3's statement that he wrote it at his residence. If this hook is to be used, then the article needs to be brought more in line with the sourcing, and the sourcing needs to be accurately attributed. (Right now, I'd drop the "which was called 'Wears Fort' " part of the hook to be safe, along with a recasting of the sentence in question.)
  • ALT1: the "co-founder" of Franklin is sourced to the monument mentioned in "Later life and death", but it really ought to be made explicit (and sourced) in the "Frontier life" section, to make the history involving him more understandable. Further, this hook's "almost two decades later" is not sourced: indeed, it is incorrect, since Franklin was established in 1784 according to its Wikipedia article, and Tennessee became a state in 1796. (Note: the committee of five in the "Constitutional delegate" section does not appear to be the constitutional drafting committee but a territory government committee asked to draft a declaration of war against the native Americans. Please recheck the FN1 source in the last paragraph of page 19.)
  • ALT3: while the "Lesser Franklin" source (FN2) does establish that Wear was the first county clerk of Sevier County, the "Upland" source (FN3) does not establish, so far as I can tell, that he was county clerk through the founding of Tennessee. What it says is that he "served in all governments", but not what the positions were (except for his Franklin posts); FN1 says he "served many years as Clerk of Sevier County Court"; again, not sufficient to support the hook's claim.
The simplest suggestion would be to drop the "almost two decades later" from ALT1. However, the article needs to be gone over so it adheres more closely to the main sources. I'm a little leery about the Jefferson quote, because the Upland source is apparently paraphrasing him but it looks like a direct quote of Jefferson (rather than Upland) in the article. I'm also very puzzled by the use of FN7 as a source, as that page seems only useful to establish that Wear was a delegate to the constitutional convention, and hence should only be used in the first sentence of the section, perhaps after the second comma (should it by "by Sevier" or "from Sevier"?).   • GenQuest, it has been over three weeks without a single edit to the article, despite plenty of editing activity by you elsewhere on Wikipedia. That's just too long.
