Comment: Also would fall under "mainspace" since it was just moved there by Zanhe. I put expanded since I wrote almost all of it, and I'm the one nominating. The source is in Korean, link here. It's considered reliable per WP:KO/RS. The quote is "오디션 당시 로제는 팝가수 Jason Mraz의 'I won't give up'을 불러 700대 1이라는 엄청난 경쟁률을 뚫고 1등으로 YG연습생이 됐다," which roughly translates to the fact that she sang Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up" at an audition for the label and was the only one accepted, 700-to-1.

Comment: Source for alt fact here. "Melbourne singer Roseanne Park thought her father was joking when he suggested she audition for a Korean entertainment company. [...] 'In Australia, I didn't think that there was much of a chance for me to become a singer – especially to become a K-pop star ... I was living so far from the country that it never really occurred to me as a possibility.'"

Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. No copyvio detected, and QPQ not required for new nominator. Two issues: 1) The hook could be more interesting. For example, this headline, "How a joke turned into K-pop stardom for an Australian singer" could be paraphrased into a very interesting hook. 2) The image, although freely licensed, is not used in the article. Either add it to the article somewhere or use the picture currently in the infobox. -Zanhe (talk) 06:06, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

@Zanhe: Replaced with the infobox picture. I was tentative with using it for the DYK since the image will be small, but I think it looks nicer with the HQ picture. DanielleTH ^{(Say hi!)} 06:11, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

@Zanhe: What in particular stands out as a problem for you? I'm open to rephrasing it, but I can't paraphrase the headline since it's not super accurate. If you open it it only says that she "thought her father was joking" when he suggested it, but she herself went seriously. Is it not catchy enough? DanielleTH ^{(Say hi!)} 21:07, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

A couple minor issues with the hook: 1) it's not mentioned in the article, which says she ranked first among the 700 participants, but not the only one selected; 2) a person who participates in an audition is an auditionee, while an auditioner is a person who conducts the audition. My main point is that there are potentially more interesting hooks with regard to her New Zealand-Australian background, but that's just my personal opinion, and I won't insist on it if you disagree. -Zanhe (talk) 23:01, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

I added onto the original hook and wrote an an alt fact about her dad as well with its own source (ALT2+3). Auditioner can be used for the person trying out but auditionee sounds nicer so I changed it in ALT1. I'm open to any of them being accepted and making grammar adjustments if need be. All ALT hooks are verified and good to go, striking the originally hook for issues mentioned above. I personally like ALT3 the best, but the other two are fine as well.
