edit... that director Román Chalbaud was imprisoned and tortured for five months in 1957 because of his political views?Source: Rist, Peter H. (2014). Historical Dictionary of South American Cinema. Rowman & Littlefield. p. 133. ISBN 9780810880368. (in article)- ALT1:
... that director Román Chalbaud became interested in camera angles after playing the angel in a Nativity play who got to watch from above the stage? "...he took part in a live nativity playing an angel. [...] thanks to this his body could be suspended in the air with technical help [...] The young Román Chalbaud was able to watch from a rare angle, there was a lot of people who were watching, that he also watched. This perspective is defined by Chalbaud as [...] his first experience of seeing the world from a camera's point of view." (Briceño, Raul. "La visión de Román Chalbaud: anécdotas del cine nacional". - @Yoninah: I've expanded the lead, is it good now? Kingsif (talk) 23:35, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. Here is a review: 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced. As all sources are foreign-language or offline, unable to check for close paraphrasing. The hook for Christmas Eve is interesting, but I would suggest writing it this way:
- ALT1a: ... that Venezuelan director Román Chalbaud became interested in camera angles after playing an angel in a Nativity play and seeing the stage and the audience from on high? Yoninah (talk) 00:11, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
- Foreign-language hook ref AGF and cited inline. Image in article is freely licensed. QPQ done. ALT1a good to go. Yoninah (talk) 00:11, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
