Robyn Bolam edit

Created by Kiromei (talk). Self-nominated at 16:44, 15 October 2018 (UTC).

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues although I could not do a proper check as Earwig's tool was down. No QPQ needed here. @Kiromei:, the hook is inaccurate and you seem to have misunderstood the nature of the Hawthornden Castle fellowship. I have rewritten that bit in the article. Please suggest a better hook? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:36, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi Cwmhiraeth, we came up with the following hooks:
"...that English poet Robyn Bolam published her first poem at 15, in an anthology titled Next Wave Poets 1?"RobynBolam.com
"...that English poet Robyn Bolam was encouraged by poet Peter Porter to apply for an Eric Gregory Award, which she won in 1981?"RobynBolam.com
What do you think of these? Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:13, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
  • I am approving these two hooks which both have inline citations. However, both are cited to a "primary source", that is information provided by the subject them self. Wikipedia prefers "secondary sources", so I have added one of these for the second hook. This nomination is now ready to proceed, but it may take a little while before the hook is promoted to a hook set, ready for appearing on the main page. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:57, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks Cwmhiraeth! We were a bit unsure as to whether or not a primary source would be OK for DYK, so it's good to get feedback on that! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:52, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
@Shalor (Wiki Ed) and Cwmhiraeth: From experience, primary sources can be used to cite DYK hooks, as long as the material and/or fact is uncontroversial or neutral. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:14, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
