General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Greetings! I took a look at this article, and liked what I saw. Here are my overall comments.

  • Hooks: I liked that first hook a lot; it may not totally have to do with Tobar, but it struck me as very interesting (and made me chuckle a little bit). While ALT1 works as a hook, it lacks the punch (and humor) of the main one.
  • Lead: For a short article, a two-sentence lead is fine, especially when it sums up the body of the article.
  • Paragraph 1: Everything checks out. The FIFA International Referee label is a little confusing, even though it's referenced, because I don't know why you'd need that label to work domestically. However, FIFA's site itself isn't clear on it either, and our WP article on the list's description (the one I've linked in this review) is the same way. Thus, I don't think you have to change it. Unless there's evidence that Tobar worked before 2011, which may be hard to come by, I think this paragraph can stand as is.
  • Paragraph 2: Looks good. You need to define which Reyes was sent off if he is mentioned by name; luckily, a search finds a Lorenzo Reyes playing for "La U" in 2016 and some articles linking him and Tobar sending him off exist on Chilean websites. One issue, though, is if you find a page that links him to the incident and mentions him by his full name, you'll need add a second reference, since the first one doesn't mention Lorenzo's first name in that article. I hope that makes sense; it's not a major issue, just one that is going to stand out to some people if they're trying to verify.
  • Paragraph 3: Still looking good. No sticking points here.
  • Paragraph 4 and final sentence: Reference 10 is missing the "s" in "Buenos". The actual paragraph is fine, as is the last sentence (I'm okay with that standing alone).
  • General: Individual Copas should be linked in the career section, and likewise with the U-17 tournaments and the Recopa. It's more specific, and by doing this you are also avoiding link duplication.
  • Overall: Solid article on an association football official. You did a good job not overly focusing on the negative aspects of Tobar's career (the tendency to send off players is noted in most of these articles), only mentioning them when it's important. In other words, it's an objective article, and that's a good thing. Once the little fixes are put in place, I would have no problem with checkmarking the article. Let me know if you have any questions or disagreements. JustJamie820 (talk) 02:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
  • JustJamie820 Fixed the wikilinks and also the Reyes issue. I wasn't sure which Reyes is was, as Lorenzo wasn't listed at the Reyes dab page- thanks for finding out. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:16, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
  • Joseph2302: Hey there. First off, I'm glad I could be of assistance with the Reyes issue. Since he does have international experience, I'm a little surprised that no one's put him on that page yet. Anyway, to the article: The fixes make the article look better. Extra points for adding some extra years and mentions of the match legs. Among things I've noticed since:
  • 1. There's a weird phrasing about the Recopa as it discusses "...the Recopa Sudamericana second leg match...". "Second leg of the Recopa Sudamericana" looks better and is in line with all the other match legs mentioned in the article.
  • 2. This doesn't really have to be done, but for consistency, the link to Chapecoense in the Recopa section should go directly to Associação Chapecoense de Futebol instead. I noticed it before and wanted to keep it until I noticed Gremio's link on that article is to its full club name and not the redirect I've used here (which also goes to the club page). That was an oversight on my part, and I apologize.
  • I rechecked everything else, and I didn't see anything else that needed fixing. I think taking care of at least the first issue should send this article further along the DYK line and earn this article its green checkmark. It's not going to take much longer for this article to get it at this rate. -- JustJamie820 (talk) 23:39, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
  • Joseph2302 ! I see nothing else that needs to be done. Good work and I look forward to eventually seeing this on the main page. -- JustJamie820 (talk) 20:56, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
