Robert McLachlan (cinematographer) edit

  • Positively enormous size-increase, well over the 5x mark (and thus easily long enough to qualify for DYK as well). Ran Earwig's copyvio tool, no violations found. No BLP issues. Sourcing is perfectly adequate. QPQ done. Hook is interesting, but misleading - according to the article he turned down the Olympics due to funding issues and didn't work with Greenpeace until three years later, whereas the hook implies that the two events are causally related. We need a new hook before this can proceed; I suggest just truncating it to:
ALT1: ... that Emmy Award-nominated cinematographer Robert McLachlan turned down a place at the 1976 Summer Olympics?
which would be perfectly adequate. Yunshui  14:20, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
That would work fine. I felt the implication in the article was that turned down the Olympics to study cinematography and this led to the Greenpeace gig, but I guess I shouldn't have expressed the leap so obliquely. Thanks for the review. GRAPPLE X 14:23, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Cool. If you're happy with the alt then this gets a pass from me, but since I sort of technically came up with a new hook (albeit one based very closely on yours) myself another DYK reviewer may want to take a glance at this before it goes to the Main Page. Yunshui  14:33, 8 September 2015 (UTC) Its not a new hook its just a better hook as its less detailed. Its fine Victuallers (talk) 10:13, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
