I'm guessing this is supposed to be a hook for Reward system ? This is not a full review, but some points that mean the nominator needs help to get this one off the ground for DYK This is an expansion of an old article, so it needs to be 5X expanded.
- 1) Nominator needs help formatting the nomination
- 2) Hook needs prose work into something that can be sourced in the article
- 3) Article created by Xichael on December 23, 2006 as a redirect
- 4) Article became a non-redirect on March 21, 2007 by Kpmiyapuram
- 5) October 22, 2012 size before expansion was 3,545 characters of readable prose
- 6) To qualify for 5X expansion, readable prose needs to be 17,725 characters
- 7) Nominator began expanding on October 23 and current size is 8,222 readable characters
- 8) Not every paragraph is sourced, and they should be
- 9) Multiple "citation needed" tags need to be addressed
Hey guys, Maile's right, you need to expand this article a lot more before it's eligible for Did You Know. You've done great so far, though! Something else Maile mentioned was about the "hook". I don't know if Prof. Lu talked about this at all, but the "hook" is the interesting fact that comes from the article actually placed on the main page. It's supposed to be phrased as if "Did you know..." comes before it with the article bolded, for example, "...that penguins are awesome?" It has been over three weeks since the above initial survey, and the article is currently 8,211 characters, basically the length it was on October 30. As the goal is 17,725 to meet DYK's fivefold expansion requirement, it seems unlikely that the article will grow enough to become eligible. However, checking the nominator's talk page, I see that the DYK notification did not come with a working link, so I'm going to put one there now, in the hopes of getting a response before the end of the month.
