  • This is pretty much good to go, everything checks out, really. The only issue I noticed is that while he did indeed lead the Western Association in wins during the 1910 season, he shared that lead with another pitcher. My only concern would be, is that considered misleading when the hook implies he outright led the league in wins while in actuality he tied for the league lead in wins. I'm unsure if this is an issue for DYK purposes and would appreciate it if the author and other editors would chime in with their opinions on this. Other than that (and it is a relatively small issue) I pass this article and hook. IvoShandor (talk) 00:31, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
  • I know that in the major leagues, if a player is tied for the league lead in a statistical category, then he is still given credit for leading the league. For example, in 1967 Carl Yastrzemski was tied for first in home runs, yet he is given credit for winning the triple crown (which is leading a league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in). Ralph Kiner, according to all sources, led his league in home runs seven straight years, even though in three of those years he was tied with another player. - PM800 (talk) 00:45, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
  • That's good enough for me. It is, technically, true that he did lead the league in wins anyway. (Also - I know what the Triple Crown is :p) I would pass this hook without any reservations whatsoever, I just wanted to make sure. IvoShandor (talk) 00:54, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
