RNA silencing suppressor p19 edit

The p19 protein dimer
The p19 protein dimer
  • ... that the p19 protein evolved in an arms race between plants and viruses? See ref 5, [1]. "An invariable tenet of the never-ending molecular arms race between pathogens and their hosts is the ability of the pathogens to avoid, actively suppress or even hijack host defence pathways..." "The tombusviral protein P19 binds and sequesters small RNAs in the 21-nt size range to prevent their activity in AGO proteins"

Pardon? I mean what does it all mean? Confess that much of the scientific part is beyond my grasp, but I can approve that it is based on the plentiful good sources, - offline and foreign language sources accepted AGF, no copyio obvious. I don't know why you make the protagonist so conceptively harmless? Open version:

Let's not hide "from irrelevance to elegance" and "defence, counter-defence and counter-counter-defence, - how about that to the article ;) - The image is attractive and licensed. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:57, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Why pipe the link, you mean? It's just shorter/slightly less boring-sounding; I don't have an preference either way. It's a cute little protein, but the titles of those papers are a little flowery for my taste :) Opabinia regalis (talk) 23:36, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
prefer ALT1, only difference not to pipe, lovely confusing image, - I prefer that to the other on which you may actually recognize something familiar ;) - How about this for New Years' Day? Let's suppress silencing! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:13, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
