- Comment: Created 2 days ago and well-sourced. Needs BLP's photo (have not looked for a free-license one yet). I have visited with the subject of this BLP in Hopiland in December 1988. I have uploaded to Commons an example of his commesso technique bolo tie, as I own it.

No, not like this, not now. The article cites only one single source, this one, which is entirely not acceptable as a reliable source and doesn't even verify the information in the article. Whether Art of the Hopi even mentions our subject is not clear; it seems to verify only a general point about his craft. It is entirely possible that the subject is in fact notable, and I don't wish to put it up at AfD at this time, but a BLP this poorly sourced should not be advertised on the front page. - Fair enough. I did note in my edit summary that this stubby BLP needs more inline citations and sourcing in general, and I hoped that people would actually help me do this. Anyone can google search. But so far no one has. I will try to do it myself as time permits; already made efforts to obtain a free-license image of the subject. From what I know about Hopi Silver, he is about the most notable contemporary style artist in silver overlay and stone, as most Hopi silversmithing is straight and narrow twin-bonded-sheet-cutting with chiseling away at the oxidized surfaces of the bottom sheet, i.e. matting. Phil is so out in the left field as to be unique. But anyway, obviously this needs to be reflected by the RSes. Thank you for your considered appraisal. --Mareklug talk 02:45, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
