  • Alt1... that the eminent naval historian and artist, Oscar Parkes, had his interest for ships sparked by a picture of the American battleship Baltimore (pictured) on a biscuit tin?

  • This is my first time reviewing a DYK nomination, so the input of another editor wouldn't hurt. The date, length, and hook of the article are all good. WP:AGF on offline references as they seem legitimate. The one area of concern would be the fact that the lead image of the subject in the infobox is fair-use, if no free image of the deceased subject is available this is fine in the grand scheme of things, but for WP:DYKIMG it is not. Perhaps the opinion of a more experienced editor on it would be helpful. Other than that article looks ready. Inter&anthro (talk) 23:48, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Yes you're correct, I apologize on my mistake. Inter&anthro (talk) 01:53, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi again, I came by to promote the first hook, but do not see an inline cite for it. Yoninah (talk) 19:44, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
  • FYI @Yoninah: Nomination was done by Broichmore, but I'll gladly go and review one. As for an inline cite, hang on, I'll have a look at it. Sam Sailor 19:49, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
  • @Sam Sailor: Oh, sorry, I saw your name there but now I see that Broichmore was the nominator. I'll remove my QPQ and you don't need to supply one, either. Yoninah (talk) 19:55, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks, but I'll gladly do a review. Inline citation has been added to the article right after the DYK statment. Let me know if it cuts the mustard. Sam Sailor 20:01, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. Offline hook ref AGF and cited inline. Restoring tick per Inter&anthro's review. Yoninah (talk) 20:25, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
