Or Sasson edit

  • New enough, long enough, QPQ done. Hook cited in article but could not be verified because the presumed source in full is only available to subscribers. The phrase "demonstrate who was boss" is very informal--if possible could you provide me with the part of the article that states this? If you can't, then at least make the hook a bit more formal. • Thanks, Ben. Certainly -- the article sentence that I was paraphrasing in my own words was "As a child he suffered blows from Alon, who made the hierarchy at home clear." Alon is his older brother. Open to suggestions. Best. Sorry for the slow response -- have not had pc access. Epeefleche (talk) 22:45, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Epeefleche: Maybe this would be better. Also, his weight is irrelevant. BenLinus1214talk 09:37, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
  • I have to say that a hook that implies that Alon demonstrated his superiority to Or by hitting him is not ideal; at best, Alon demonstrated physical superiority, and it's a poor reflection on him that he'd beat up his younger brother. Alon is also a judoka and is national team captain, but the article doesn't note how well Alon does in competition, which makes a hook along the lines of who is getting better results infeasible unless the information is added (and a secondary source offers a comparison; inferring from results is original research); they don't seem to have competed against each other at the same weight class in Israel, at least, but it might be interesting to note that Alon typically competes at Under 90kg, so he's now the smaller brother by weight. (Don't know about height.) One point on the article: the second paragraph of the body ends abruptly; it isn't at all clear what "refused" means, and needs to be. @Epeefleche: Could you respond to User:BlueMoonset's comments? BenLinus1214talk 02:04, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
@Epeefleche: has not replied here or made any registered edits since July 21 (and no edits to the article since July 1). Is this abandoned? - Dravecky (talk) 11:15, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
@Dravecky: I believe it is. Johanna (aka BenLinus1214)talk to me!see my work 01:30, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Not having access to that one source, the one source that may give us something besides stats, I can't come up with a better hook. Drmies (talk) 03:14, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
  • It's been a full month since the nominator has made a registered edit of any sort and more than 7 weeks since the nominator's last edit to the nominated article. I now feel fully secure that this nomination has been effectively abandoned. - Dravecky (talk) 06:16, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
