Omar Narváez (baseball) edit

5x expanded by Lepricavark (talk). Self-nominated at 22:28, 28 July 2017 (UTC).

  • 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, neutrally written, no close paraphrasing seen. The article, though, seems to end in July 2016, and doesn't discuss anything about his career in the Major Leagues. Also, it is very light on sourcing, citing only Baseball-Reference.com and Twitter. Since this isn't an obscure subject, I believe it needs better referencing from independent sources. I'm having trouble finding the hook fact in the article. The last paragraph says he played in AA and AAA during the 2016 season. Is that the same as Class A? Image is freely licensed. QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 00:00, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Just to clarify, Baseball-Reference.com is an independent source. That being said, I'll try to find some more sources. I've intended to bring the article up to date, but I was waiting to do so until after the review because I did not want to potentially cause confusion by continuing the expansion past the one-week period. Yes, I do need to add the hook fact to the article. Class A is a lower tier than Class AA or Class AAA and it seems rather unusual for a player who spent seven seasons at Class A or lower to climb all the way from Class AA to the Major Leagues in a single season, hence that being the hook. I will try to address these concerns within the next few days, if not sooner. Lepricavark (talk) 00:11, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
  • @Lepricavark: Thank you. You can always nominate an article and then continue working on it. Yoninah (talk) 00:28, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Ok. I just wanted to avoid any confusion or complication. I've already made some progress in addressing your concerns. Lepricavark (talk) 00:29, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: I have proposed an alternate hook that I actually like better than the original. What do you think? Also, I'm not sure how much, if anything, I want to add to the article about the current season. It is probably best to wait until after the season to add statistics. Otherwise, they will quickly become outdated. Lepricavark (talk) 02:27, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
  • OK. Thanks for improving the sourcing. ALT1 is good; hook ref verified and cited inline. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 16:20, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
