Northern Khmer dialect edit

  • Length & date okay, but I don't think it would be technically correct to call a people descendants of an empire. Not quite sure how to better phrase this. How about:
Still not very catchy though. If the bit about karaoke lyrics being one of the few places where the dialect appears in Khmer script can be cited, that would make a good hook. --Paul_012 (talk) 08:45, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
I struggled with the choice of "descendants" as well. At first I used "remnant", but that sounded like they were continuing the Empire or still alive from the time of the Empire. I couldn't find any readily available reliable sources in English regarding the karaoke lyrics bit. Considering it's a lot of information to convey in less than 200 characters, the re-phrasing you suggest is fine.--William Thweatt Talk Contribs 16:45, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
I'll say it's good to go, then. If somebody can think of a better-phrased hook, please do so. Oh, and the pipe character in your signature is interfering with template code. Please modify it. --Paul_012 (talk) 04:37, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Great! And thanks for letting me know about the signature, never had any problems before (or nobody's mentioned them) but I have removed the pipe character.--William Thweatt TalkContribs 03:41, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
