ALT1:... that parents often think their child will underachieve in a multi-age classroom regardless of their child's grade level?
ALT2:... that older students in a multi-age classroom can learn by teaching the lower grade level?

I wonder what makes this image appropriate to the topic? It does not appear to portray children of different ages, more than a year or so apart. The article's date and length are good but it has uncited paragraphs. Each paragraph must have at least one cite for DYK. About the various hooks, the first one is a cipher; I find it difficult to understand just what is being proposed. I should think that differing student results would also be traced to differences in students! The ALT1 hook is somewhat supported by reference, though the hook says "underachieve" while the article says "disadvantaged"; a much larger and more vague category. The ALT2 hook is more limited than the source which implies that students of any age can learn by teaching, not just older students. The ALT3 hook is the only solidly worded and supported hook. Thanks very much for this review. I've finally managed to scrape together a little time to address some of this issues; this is my first DYK and I was unaware of the two lists of requirements - the headline and the detail, so missed out on the "cite every paragraph" part.
