Macon Whoopees (SHL) edit

  • Comment: Credit to @Mifter: on help with this nomination.

5x expanded by Flibirigit (talk). Self-nominated at 15:10, 9 February 2018 (UTC).

  • New enough, as nominated 2 days after (10x) expansion. Long enough, at 4700+. Written in neutral manner. Article is replete with inline citations to reliable sources. Hook is within format, and in my opinion is considerably more interesting than average (but I'm biased, as a Great American Songbook fan, but the name is amusing wordplay.) This is 2nd DYK, so QPQ doesn't apply. No DYK image to check against. The single issue involves copyright. Much of the matching are either "common phrases" or proper name sequences that shouldn't be modified. However, Earwig shows at least three substantial phrases which are copied word-for-word. Please review and revise. This is a very interesting article, and I hope it gets mainpage exposure. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 16:53, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
I have reworded some phrases. If you have other questions, please advise. Thanks. Flibirigit (talk) 17:38, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, that takes care of most of it. However, I think the sentence involving television sets is still a close paraphrase, at least in sentence structure. Would you be so kind as to completely re-write that one. Sorry, and thanks. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 17:53, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
I have tried again. Thanks. Flibirigit (talk) 18:04, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
  • The paraphrasing issues have been rectified. The hook is directly attributable to a inline-cited, reliable source, and is otherwise completely in policy. This is ready to go. Great article, thanks for all the hard work which results in such an interesting read. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 18:09, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
