- Proposing a revised hook here (along with a totally new hook), to help out in case another editor wants to adopt this (subject to revision):
- ALT2... that Chinese New Year films have become a symbol of the cultural identity of Hong Kong?
- ALT3... that although Chinese New Year films have only been produced in Hong Kong for the last 30 years, it has now become considered an institution, providing Hongkongers with a sense of continuity and belonging?
