Good to go. Jaespinoza (talk) 21:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Most of the prose was already in another Wikipedia article, The Elephant Man (film). To be counted for DYK, it has to be new material. - PM800 (talk) 21:33, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Would that require rewriting the material, or finding new material to be added? The first paragraph of the lead is pretty much copy-and-pasted from the film's article, so would rewriting that be sufficient or should I discount that text and add an amount of new text to match it? GRAPPLE X 21:39, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Yes, I think that you should discount that part. You could write more prose about the actual awards and nominations by summarizing the results and maybe adding some background information about the awards ceremonies, the other nominations, etc, that are not included in the table already. - PM800 (talk) 21:57, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • I've made a few changes. How does it seem now? GRAPPLE X 23:00, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • What you've added is not related to the film's awards and nominations, which is what the article is supposed to be about. It's OK if you just summarize what's in the table. I suggest finding some sources from 1981 and writing about the awards season in chronological order. - PM800 (talk) 23:16, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Have added some additional material on the awards themselves. Any sources I could find when researching the list are already used so there wasn't really anything else to turn up that way; I just summarised the technical awards some more to pull focus away from Hurt and Lynch. GRAPPLE X 23:58, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
  • OK. Length, date, and sources checked, no copyright violations. - PM800 (talk) 03:05, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
