Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom edit
- ... that in 2012 Six Flags Magic Mountain will open Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom, the world's tallest vertical drop ride?

- Hook: Interesting, short enough, cited.
- Article: Barely long enough, new enough. I feel uncomfortable with the blogspot reference and neither cited source indicates any Guinness involvement. Image has a valid FUR, paraphrasing checks out.

- Firstly, I have removed the Blogspot archive of the press release. It was only there because WebCite failed to archive the original source properly. The Giant Drop currently holds the Guinness World Record for the Tallest Vertical Drop Fun Ride. See Guinness World Records official website (this is a cited fact in The Giant Drop article). As per the cited Los Angeles Times article, Lex Luthor will "rank as the world’s tallest". It is clear the ride will be the world's tallest, so I am guessing your only concern is in regards the attribution of it being a Guinness World Record. If the evidence I have provided is not enough, let me know and I can remove the statement about it being a "Guinness" World Record from the article. Themeparkgc Talk 06:28, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
- As Guinness has to recognize it first, I'd feel uncomfortable calling it a Guinness World Record... a plain old world record would be more than enough (although Guinness will probably recognize it after completion).
