Leeds Tiger
- ... that when the Leeds Tiger (pictured) went on display in Leeds in 1863 it was described as a "work of art quite as much as an object for scientific observation"? - Comment: Very happy to accept alt hooks - my imagination and pithiness has left me, but I really wanted to submit this in time!
Created by Lajmmoore (talk), Storye book (talk), CuratorClare (talk), and PamD (talk). Nominated by Lajmmoore (talk) at 20:39, 30 June 2021 (UTC).
- Article is long enough (6464 characters), new enough (moved to mainspace 24 June, nominated 30 June) and article is within policy (AGF on the BNA sources, as I don't currently have access)
- Hook is short enough, interesting enough, in the article, and well cited. If people do want to suggest an alt, then feel free, but this one seems fine to me
- Image is freely licenced (UK has freedom of panorama), in the article and looks good at low resolution
- QPQ done
- Overall, this nomination passes, congratulations. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:11, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
