- Hook length okay and neutrality okay. Hook sourcing verified, but I would suggest adding the British Museum description of the print as a source in the article itself, since that's what establishes Madame Caradori's appearance in the London staging.
- However re clarity, when I read the hook the first time I thought the opera was about a slave in London itself, such as in Roman times. Maybe it should be rephrased for better clarity? Or maybe it's just me. Also re the date of 1827 given in the article, as I read the two sources given, the opera was actually premiered in London in 1826 (fn 2) or more specifically 30 December 1826 (fn 3).
- And hook interest is only fair. To me the interesting thing in reading about this opera is that it seems to have been very popular in its first 15 years of existence, being staged throughout Italy and in several other countries. But then it fell off the ends of the Earth, such that there are no known performances in the last 180 years and no recordings, even though the score and libretto still exist. So is it possible to make a hook along those lines?

I hope Voce can clarify the London dates, and add that sourcing. - Likely the pic was made later than the London premiere, - this isn't digital on-the-spot imaging. The fact that an opera was first widely popular and then forgotten is nothing specific to this opera, also I tried to word something around the pretty pic. Hooks have been rejected for not mentioning what's pictured. I also believe that a performance in London includes "very popular", and readers will know that they never heard of that opera, possibly not even of the composer, - no need to say so.

- Hi Wasted Time R. Thanks for the date catch. The 1827 crept in because that was the date of the review. I've corrected it to December 1826. Apparently, shortly after the December 1826 premiere, Prince Frederick died and the theatres were closed for a month. Voceditenore (talk) 09:49, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

- As the reviewer, I found ALT0 confusing because at first I read London as being where the opera was set, not where it was performed. So that's why ALT1 was devised. ALT1a is really a variant of ALT0 but a little clearer to me due to the location of (pictured), so it's okay as far as I'm concerned. Wasted Time R (talk) 21:35, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
