- Elias ZiadeSorry for delay - hope to have plenty of time now - not essential for DYK but you can use the "trans-title" parameter to translate foreign language cite titles. Any more info on present day - for example population? do they rely on farming or tourists? are they happy with museum or do they think it waste of money? local politics? Off topic but it seems not to be mentioned on Wikivoyage- if there is much for tourists to see and it is safe to go you could mention it in https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/South_Lebanon Chidgk1 (talk) 07:35, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Chidgk1, I added the translated titles where needed and I expanded some of the passages. I'd rather not mention the museum until it materializes. Any comments related to DYK? el.ziade (talkallam) 13:54, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding more info. New and long enough. Checked no copyvio detected by Earwig. Should pic in other language articles be added? I have tagged asking for a minor clarification but apart from that I am now happy with the content. But I am afraid I don't find the hook very interesting. Chidgk1 (talk) 07:09, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

How about
- ALT1: ... that thousands of votive terracotta figurines found in the ancient town of Kharayeb in the 1970s are displayed in Beirut as the town museum has not been built.
or can you think of something more "hooky"? Chidgk1 (talk) 07:31, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
-
- Elias Ziade OK so what do you think about ALT1? Chidgk1 (talk) 10:08, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- ALT1 is not entirely accurate, not all the figurines are displayed, and not all the figurines and displayed in Beirut, and I'm not keen on mentioning a museum project that may not be built in the near future. here are a few other hooks:
-
- ALT2: ... that archaeological excavations in the historic town of Kharayeb revealed a rural settlement with a complex system of cisterns and a Phoenician temple? (Oggiano 2013, pp. 241–242) (Oggiano 2020, p. 201)
- ALT3: ... that the hoard of votive terracotta figurines discovered in Kharayeb sheds light on the religious and cultural practices of the rural Phoenician population during the Late Iron Age, Persian, and Hellenistic periods. el.ziade (talkallam) 09:11, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
