Joseph Samuel Clark edit

  • ... that Joseph Samuel Clark turned down Herbert Hoover's offer to serve as the United States Ambassador to Liberia in 1931 to remain the president of Southern University? "Joseph Samuel Clark". The Journal of Negro History. 30 (1): 112–114. January 1945 – via JSTOR.

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Hook is interesting and offline hook ref AGF and cited inline. QPQ done. However, I added numerous "citation needed" tags to important facts in the article; the last sentence in the note is something that could be construed as OR without a citation. I have removed the OR content (1940 makes no sense because his son was already SU's president by 1938), and asked Parkwells to reference the content they've added.Zigzig20s (talk) 21:25, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
User:Yoninah: I have tried to fix all the issues you raised earlier.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:47, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. You improved the article a lot. It was a good idea to remove all that biographical information about his son, who already has his own article. I did add back the fact that his son succeeded him as president. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 11:48, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
