  • Comment: This article was started as a stub in 2005, and remained so until I began working on it. At that time the article's content was 1/2 unsourced to reliable sources; even with the unsourced content the article was 684 characters (without spaces). Work started on 10 December, and was completed on 14 December. The article is now over 4k characters (without spaces), well exceeding the fivefold expansion requirement to meet the "new" criteria". Being over 4k in total characters (without spaces) of prose, it meets the requirement of "long enough". I believe that my four possible hooks I have provided are cited to at least one reliable source each and are shorter than 200 characters in lengh, and that the nominated article is within policy. I have met my QPQ via this review of another DYK. The image is in the public domain, and while the subject is an active politician, and mentions a successful candidate, it is not about any politician who is up for election within the next thirty days.

2x expanded and sourced (BLP) by RightCowLeftCoast (talk). Self-nominated at 15:14, 15 December 2016 (UTC).

Note: this is not eligible for the 2x BLP exception, which requires the initial article to be entirely unsourced. However, as mentioned above, it does meet the normal 5x expansion requirement. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 19:12, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
  • New enough. Long enough. QPQ done. Page is well-cited & has no policy issues. Image appears properly licensed. No Copyvio issues. Hooks are sourced. I think ALT0 & ALT3 could be scrapped. ALT1 & ALT2 would make more interesting hooks. Looks G2G for either ALT 1 or ALT2. DaltonCastle (talk) 00:08, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
