  • Article is new enough and long enough. It is within policy; well-city, no obvious copyvio etc. The hook is formatted correctly, cited, and interesting, though if he was elected at the 36th attempt, is it still true to say he stood for election 35 times before he won a seat? To make it clear I've taken the liberty of adding in "without success" to make it clear the first 35 attempts were unsuccessful:
ALT1 ... that John Peck stood for election to Nottingham City Council 35 times without success before he finally won a seat?
