  • Hi West Virginian, review follows: article promoted to GA on 22 September; article is well written and cited inline throughout to reliable sources; too many sources for me to check them all but a spot check found no issues with overly close paraphrasing; hook is interesting and mentioned in article. I trimmed "admitted to the bar" from the hook as the article only states he was the first admitted to the bar in Jefferson County but was the first African-American lawyer in West Virginia; hooks check out to sources cited here and in the article; image works well as small scale and is freely licensed, the caption could probably be trimmed a little; a QPQ has been carried out; looks good to me - Dumelow (talk) 07:25, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
  • Dumelow, thank you for your thorough review of this article, hook, and image for DYK. I concur with your edit to the hook, and have shortened the caption accordingly. -- West Virginian (talk) 12:53, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
