5x expanded by HueSatLum (talk). Self nominated at 04:10, 7 January 2014 (UTC).

  • Expansion started on January 6, so I moved it there. George Ho (talk) 04:25, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Sorry, but this is not eligible for the 2x BLP exception. According to WP:BLPPROD, to qualify for an unsourced BLP, "the process requires that the article contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc.)". The BLP exception gives a very generous break on the amount of expansion required, so it can only be invoked when the article truly had no refs of any kind. This article had a reference in the form of an external link in its Infobox prior to the start of expansion. So the normal 5x expansion is required. It was 555 prose characters before expansion, and it's now 1897, so another 878 would be required. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 03:55, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I'll see what I can do. Thanks, ~HueSatLum 14:37, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Okay, I've expanded it to well more than 5×. (Does this mean I can safely remove a {{BLP unsourced}} or similar tag from an article if it has any sort of external link/reference?) ~HueSatLum 01:55, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Yes, expansion is now sufficient. Thanks for taking care of that. Article is neutral and includes sufficient inline citations. No copyvio detected. The hook fact appears in the article but did not have an inline ref immediately after it as required by DYK rules, so I added one; feel free to remove this redundant ref after the DYK has appeared. QPQ done.

As for your question, I would say that for similar instances you could replace {{BLP unsourced}} with {{BLP sources}}. Some people may take issue with that, however, because their perceptions of "unsourced" may differ, and less strict definitions may by okay for more informal situations than adding a {{Prod blp}} or getting a DYK expansion exception.
