... that Lieutenant commander James J. Connell's Navy Cross was the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War?Source: Article in Delaware Online, Remember Delaware hero James Connell, who died a POW in the Vietnam War. Line reads "According to research by David Call, a retired Master Chief Petty Officer and naval science instructor at Delaware Military Academy, Connell’s Navy Cross was the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War.". - Alright, as this is your fourth (?) DYK, you don't need a QPQ yet, though I'd recommend thinking about doing one soon!
- Now for the review: All actually seems clear. Article is new enough, long enough, and the copyvio tool can only detect phrases which are otherwise not really rewordable. I prefer the original alt - feels more "exclusive". Optionally, throw the word "posthumous". Juxlos (talk) 19:22, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

... that Lieutenant commander James J. Connell's posthumous Navy Cross was the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War?
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but the hook fact about his Navy Cross being the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War does not appear in the article. Once it's there, it needs an inline cite. Yoninah (talk) 21:54, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, my bad, I spotted that in the lead and missed the body - @SamHolt6:. Juxlos (talk) 21:58, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- Right, it's in the lead without a cite. I added a "citation needed" tag there, but I think it should be mentioned under Legacy with the cite. Yoninah (talk) 22:07, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah:@Juxlos: I have added the inline citation to the article lead as requested, and added the claim to the body. Anything else need to be done? SamHolt6 (talk) 22:29, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @SamHolt6: thank you, but you have some pretty close paraphrasing here:
- Source: the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War.
- Article: the highest award for valor presented to any Delawarean during the Vietnam War.
- Yoninah (talk) 22:35, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I am aware, but cant think of a better way to represent the information. Perhaps "The Navy Cross awarded to James J. Connell was the highest award presented to a Delawarean during the Vietnam War? SamHolt6 (talk) 22:39, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @SamHolt6: I'm talking about in the article as well as here. Perhaps write it this way: the highest award for valor bestowed on a Delawarean during the Vietnam War. Yoninah (talk) 22:51, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: it works well, and I have implemented [3] the change on the main article. Since this nomination has already begun, am I able to change the content above? SamHolt6 (talk) 23:02, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- @SamHolt6: no, we just write it as a new alt:
- ALT0a: ... that lieutenant commander James J. Connell's Navy Cross was the highest award for valor bestowed on a Delawarean during the Vietnam War?
- I've formatted the hook properly and fixed a link. Striking other alts and restoring tick per Juxlos' review. Thank you for removing the close paraphrasing in the article. ALT0a good to go. Yoninah (talk) 23:15, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
