Indigo Lake (Ohio) edit

Created/expanded by Gilderien (talk). Self nom at 20:36, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

  • The article is only 1350 characters, 150 short of the minimum 1500 needed to quality for further DYK consideration. Spy007au (talk) 09:56, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Ok, will stand corrected. As a more interesting hook, how about something like ALT1: ... that according to local folklore, the site and shore of Indigo Lake are "haunted" by spirits of local tribes? Spy007au (talk) 10:38, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Yes, I thought about that, but wasn't sure whether the website I cited that too was a particularly reliable source.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 16:16, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I am also dubious about Haunted Cuyahoga as a reliable source, but if it isn't good enough to support the hook fact, it really isn't good enough to support that section, and leaves other facts, such as the springs feeding Indigo Lake, without adequate sourcing. (Where is the source for the "roughly triangular" description of the lake in the intro?) There was also a bit too much duplication of text between the intro and body of the text in the article. I've done a cleanup, but that leaves the article at 1456 prose characters, too few for DYK. More text will need to be added to the article body, and the bare ref first source will need to be fixed. • As for the triangular shape, I seem to recall reading that in an overview of the area, but in any case is evident from the map cited in the lead. Thanks, and I will continue improving it.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 16:53, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
  • It is now slightly over 1500 characters.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 20:39, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
date, length, sources fine. I wonder why it is not Indigo Lake, Ohio? what do you think of saying a bit more:
ALT2: ... that Indigo Lake in Ohio's Cuyahoga Valley National Park is not a natural lake? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:43, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Sounds alright.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 18:41, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
please add one of the more respected sources to the mentioning in the body ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:45, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
