I Know...Brad edit

  • Because it's not text original to Wikipedia. Similar to the PD issue a while back, and one of your nominations below which was removed from the Preps by Nikkimaria for the same reason. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:17, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Above, sorry. Roto Broil. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:30, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I am still researching these articles. I have 11 books checked out from the Chicago Public Library and have requests that 4 more be sent from outlying branches to my local branch. I expect those to arrive by next week.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 13:37, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
  • You still have two overly long quotes ("...look hard, crisp, brittle, ... " and "The slick black contours ... ") — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:30, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
  • As the article stands, without the quotes it is not 1500 characters. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:56, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
  • If I understand the rules only block quotes are discounted.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:57, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
  • And per DYK rule 2d): "In practice, articles longer than 1,500 characters may still be rejected as too short, at the discretion of the selecting reviewers" — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:02, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I am not looking for a pissing contest. Right now, you see all the content I can muster. I am in possession of 14 books and have 5 more on order from the Library. WP will know everything I can learn. That is all I can do.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 00:05, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I do not appreciate disagreement over length being called a "pissing contest". The article is 1502 characters right now, including about 200 characters in quotes. Although this is above 1500 characters, it is still a stub. An easy way to avoid this would be to paraphrase or summarise some of the quotes. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:17, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
  • If the rest of my sources come up empty, I will make the necessary changes to the current content to make it passable. There is still a lot of info coming from the anticipated sources, I suspect.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 01:59, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I can find no more content. The most recent book has the image but does not reference it the prose as far as I can tell. I am at the end of the rope in terms of ordering books on this topic (except possibly taking a look at the production for the current exhibition at some point in the future).--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:41, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Alright, barely squeaks by the length limits — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:38, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
