Xu You edit

Sketch of Emperor Yao

  • ... that according to legend, the hermit Xu You was offered the royal throne by Emperor Yao (pictured), but he declined and even washed his ears out in embarrassment?

  • I've renamed the article to its pinyin romanization per Chinese naming convention. And I think the hook should reflect the fact that this is a legendary, not historical figure. -Zanhe (talk) 00:06, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Tweaked hook. Well, he may have indeed existed, who knows? ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:03, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Although Xu You is a revered figure in Taoism, calling him a Taoist seems anachronistic. So I removed the word and made minor wording changes to the hook. It's now good to go. The picture licence is fine. -Zanhe (talk) 22:25, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
