- Storye book I'm done going through the sources. All appear reliable for sure. You have an awful lot of paywalls and trials. I was glad that the source for the hook was not a paywall and was available online though. However, the one source that asks for a library card number-I don't see how anyone can use that. - Anyone in the UK with an institution library ticket e.g. from university, college, city library, or place of employment which buys into the system, will be able to access the British Newspaper Archive for free. A number of online memberships serving the UK give access too, such as Genes Reunited, and many people already have that. Anyone with a British Library research card can get free access to the British Library Archive online so long as their card is valid (about 3 years I think); that research card is free. Gale, in the Wikipedia Library, has a newspapers section - free to Wikipedians. However there are many excellent WP articles based an books published in the US, to which we Brits have no easy access. We take those sources in good faith, and so far my articles based on 19th-century UK newspapers have been taken in good faith. You will see that I always include full citations for the newspapers, including page and column, so that those people using the old-fashioned microfilm readers, which still exist in our libraries here, can easily locate the articles.
- I checked the article in Earwig, and most of the highlighted sections are quotations, either in blockquotes or in quotation marks. The remaining ones are titles or common phrases which cannot be avoided. I have paraphrased two little bits, anyway, although they were not serious enough to be called plagiarism. I always follow the rules about plagiarism, but please also note that that first source that you mention is dated 1924, which puts it internationally out of copyright, so there is no fear of copyvio there, anyway.
