Gorgonorhynchus repens edit

  • ... that Gorgonorhynchus repens has an unusual sticky, branched proboscis with which it snares suitableits prey? Source: "That milky goo is actually the worm’s hunting gear: a very rare branching proboscis that this aggressive predator shoots out from a specialized port to net prey, including mollusks, snails, and even other sea worms. It then drags the captured prey into its mouth and swallows it whole."

  • Article is new enough, long enough, and well referenced. Hook is interesting, and supported with inline reference. QPQ is done. No copyvio detected. Good to go and thanks for the fun read! -Zanhe (talk) 05:55, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I do not understand why the source (Mental Floss) is using the image from Wikimedia Commons and the same wording in the caption as in this article. Yoninah (talk) 20:19, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: So, what's the problem? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:34, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
Could it be copying your article, and therefore not an RS? Yoninah (talk) 20:41, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
It predated my article. I'll look into it tomorrow as I am stopping for the night now. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 21:12, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
Mental Floss has made use of an image from Commons, just as anyone can. It probably isn't a reliable source, and I have unsuccessfully searched for a better one. I do not want to remove that couple of sentences involved from the article and am suggesting ALT1. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:40, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
  • But ALT0 is more descriptive, and is sourced to a scientific paper. I looked at the Mental Floss article again and aside from the image, I don't see any copyvios. I tweaked one word in the hook. Restoring tick per Zanhe's review. Yoninah (talk) 00:57, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
