- Comment: If and when this article is ready for promotion, and if it's feasible, please help me coordinate the timing of its appearance at DYK; I'd like it to be my #1000. Some of you know that I am a cultural anthropologist at heart. I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Margaret Mead and study cultural anthropology at Barnard (my mom's alma mater), like Margaret did. I wanted to travel to Papua New Guinea and do research on its people, like Margaret did. But my dad said no to majoring in anthropology... he wanted something more practical for my university studies. So now, years later, I get to live the life of an armchair cultural anthropologist, writing articles about Goaribari Island and its cannibals. Dates and lengths both good. Some limited close paraphrasing of a public domain source observed, but as it is properly cited this is not an issue (see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing#Public domain or free use content). One minor problem is that the article gives 8 April 1901 as the date James Chalmers and his party were murdered, but I was unable to locate the specific date in either of the two cited sources. Ideally a source supporting the exact date can be provided. Worst case, this concern can be rectified by simply editing the date out of the article text. --Allen3 talk 11:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
