George Paul Korengay edit

  • ...that a choir of angels visited folk artist George Kornegay? Source: "And the end of it come from a choir of angels come to visit my house. Come from the east into the house, go down the hall, go around my bedroom. And then leave to the west"[1]

Created by No Swan So Fine (talk), Edwardx (talk), and Philafrenzy (talk). Nominated by No Swan So Fine (talk) at 17:54, 15 March 2017 (UTC).

  • Article created on 10 March and nominated on 15 March, so falls within date range. QPQ done. Hook length is within the limit. The article has too much quotes. This should be reduced. The hook and some of the claims are sourced from the primary sources. Need to find secondary sources or alternate hook. - Vivvt (Talk) 18:44, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
  • There has been no response to this review in over two weeks, and no edits to the article in this time. The nominator has been pinged, and work needs to be done soon if this nomination is to remain open. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:39, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
  • Marking for closure; still no response nor edits, yet nominator has been active elsewhere on Wikipedia. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:44, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
Alt 1 "...that according to the folk artist George Kornegay, he was visited by a choir of angels? The source referred to in the review is the Souls Grown Deep page. I am not sure whether this is in fact a primary source as it is stated to be a series of interviews with the subject by William Arnett and the website is an independent one run by the Souls Grown Deep Foundation. • Philafrenzy, this requires more than a new hook; you haven't addressed the sourcing issues Vivvt noted (the article hasn't been edited at all since the initial review). Please address this right away if you wish the nomination to remain open, and the excessive quoting. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:07, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
I will see what I can do. I think it can be fixed to everyone's satisfaction. Philafrenzy (talk) 14:45, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
