ALT1 was altered after it was approved to claim southeastern Nigeria—please don't edit approved hooks but give a new ALT if you feel change is needed—but "southeastern" does not appear anywhere in the article. I've just deleted the word and also restored "mythological figures", because it's not at all clear that Meng Po is properly a deity. If the hook is again altered in a way that makes it no longer supported in the article and/or references, I'll have to supersede the most recent approval. Sorry again, ALT1 was approved just minutes before I made the changes. I must be losing my edge. I updated the article to match the new alt; both sources ([1] and [2]) refer to Meng Po as a "goddess" and one of them states that the Igbo people are from eastern Nigeria.
