Verifiability issues: hook facts not cited; nominator has been unable to find adequate sourcing to support them

French ship Intrépide (1747) edit

Created by Neddyseagoon (talk). Nominated by Iazyges (talk) at 19:51, 10 October 2016 (UTC).

  • The article is new enough and long enough. It is neutral and does not seem to have any copyright violations. The nominator has only one DYK credit, so QPQ is not needed. The article has references, but only one reference is cited inline. The hook facts are not immediately followed by inline citations. The article needs more work to be eligible for DYK. • @Iazyges: It has been a while since these issues were raised. Have you been able to address them? Vanamonde (talk) 07:20, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
  • @Iazyges: That's a rather literal answer, but perhaps I asked too literal a question. Do you feel able to address these within a reasonable timeframe? Will you address these within a reasonable timeframe? Since this has been open a while, I would suggest a week at most, unless there are pressing things keeping you off Wikipedia. @Vanamonde93: I have been unable to locate a source that verifies it, there is a lot of mention of an intrepide, but nothing confirming that they are one in the same. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 06:00, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

@Iazyges: In that case, I'm afraid I have to fail this nomination. Verifiability is not optional, I'm afraid. Content that could be challenged needs to be cited, and you need at least one citation to a reliable source per paragraph. Vanamonde (talk) 07:20, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
