  • ALT1: ... that art curator Ugochukwu-Smooth Nzewi described sound artist Emeka Ogboh's work as capturing "the maddening hyper-visuality of Lagos"? Source: Nzewi, Ugochukwu-Smooth (August 14, 2013). "Nigeria: the distinctive sounds of Lagos". The Guardian. ISSN 0261-3077.

Improved to Good Article status by Czar (talk). Nominated by Barbara (WVS) (talk) at 02:03, 3 August 2017 (UTC).

  • This is a newly promoted GA. I don't know whether the sound clip is a permissible alternative to an image or whether it has any copyright issues so I am not authorising its use. Approving ALT1, but not ALT0, which is more interesting, because there are no inline citations covering the hook facts in the latter as far as I can see. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. We are just waiting for a QPQ to be done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:51, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth, the nominator has fewer than five DYK credits, so is exempt from QPQ, no? czar
  • Agreed, this is the fifth DYK, so no QPQ is needed. Confirming the previous (erroneous) tick. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:26, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
