This is nonsense, according to the article, he wasn't known as Edgar Allen Poe so the hook is incorrect. I know it's trying to be fun but it's simply ... not. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:40, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

I beg your pardon! Please see Source #2. The newspaper used his full name. He was also known as E. A. P. Newcomb. And like the article says, he was also known as Edgar A. P. Newcomb.
