Date, length, hook, age, and everything else checks out; I would be fine with either of the proposed hooks being selected for the main page. My only question is about the first hook. Do you think that there should be clarity on the "to help their communities be more inclusive" part? My first question when reading the hook was who is this being more inclusive towards? After reading the article, I understand now that it is based on gender, but maybe some revision to make this idea clearer would be helpful. - You need to support your opposition for this DYK nomination through Wikipedia policy rather than personal opinion. There is no reason to be rude. There is also a potential bias from this user as he or she had put this article up for AfD in the past. I would encourage that the above comment be disregarded for these two reasons.
