Comment: I left off the image of the book cover from the article, because book covers are "fair use", is this correct? Also, when I propose a DYK I always include an alternative hook in my first draft...is that actually just for reviewers to propose alternatives, instead? And did I do the Source: correctly? I see several different formats being used for different purposes.

- The Length, Date, QPQ, and Citation all check. You are correct in that we do not feature fair use images on the front page and you are always free to propose alternative hooks (reviewers can propose them as well) for consideration but are not generally required to do so. However in reviewing this I noticed that the "Novel" section is primarily a large quote from an interview of the author (it was also flagged on the copyright check) if we can paraphrase that so its not so much a verbatim copy of what he said and possibly add some more citations we should be in good shape. It's normal to include quotations in Wikipedia articles, what makes this one bad when others are good? Quotations aren't generally considered a copyright issue. Not disputing it, per se, just trying to understand the difference. — Kaz (talk) 20:21, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

No problem, the issue is generally length (also noted in MOS:QUOTE) as we try to keep quotes on the shorter side and in keeping with the overall length of the article especially if some of what is said can be paraphrased (Copyright concerns are also generally not front and center but still present) I personally think the quote you use in the "History" section is an example of good quote usage. @Kazvorpal: Before this can be promoted, it needs some more citations, as presently two paragraphs have no citations at all. (The plot section is OK without cites because the story is considered to be its own reference). Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:21, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
