Crustal recycling edit

There are three paragraphs without any citations, so those need to be added. I've corrected an inaccurate sentence and replaced a primary source with a secondary one. The date and length are fine, but the image is unclear at 100px. The hook is a little bare and I suggest- ALT1 ... that crustal recycling allows water to be transported from Earth's surface into the mantle? Mikenorton (talk) 21:57, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- I am happy with the alt1 hook. The small picture can be omitted it is basically a blob of colour to brighten the page at this resolution. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:05, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
Nicely written article, Dates and length check out fine. I didn't check for plagiarism issues yet.
However, several paragraphs in the article have no call-outs to reference citations, and the article does not cite a source for the hook fact. These concerns need to be resolved if this is going to the main page in DYK.
Also, I find that the body of the article is almost entirely about the structure and composition of the mantle, not about crustal recycling. The article subduction is more informative regarding crustal recycling, including the introduction of water into the mantle. --Orlady (talk) 04:10, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
