edit

Yulia Tymoshenko

Created/expanded by — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 21:18, 21 January 2013 (UTC). Nominated by Yulia Romero (talk) at 21:15, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

It has been brought to my attention that my proposed hook is 97 characters to long. Hence:

This article is no neutral. I am the author of this article in the Ukrainian and Russian Wiki. Dear, Romero. What's going on? You faking article "Criminal cases against Yulia Tymoshenko since 2010". You specify "all the terrible accusations from Yanukovych" - with a look that is true. But you throw the fact that 90% of criminal cases had collapsed.

I say that Yulia Romero falsifies this article in the interest of the parties Yanukovych. And trying to create a view that Tymoshenko guilty of the absurd deeds. ** See Wiki Ukrainian and Russian, which provides a true picture of the innocence of Tymoshenko - this opinion the U.S. government, the European Union, Russia, global democratic organizations.--Vles1 (talk) 11:18, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

I tried to write a good balanced Wikipedia article and did not (at least not deliberately) do what I am accused of above. Because I think an outside look is required now I have taken Vles1's accusations too Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/Noticeboard#Criminal_cases_against_Yulia_Tymoshenko_since_2010. By the way per WP:USERGENERATED the Ukrainian and Russian Wiki articles on the same subject are are not acceptable as a source. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 16:04, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
I have to say that bias is not obvious to me. Johnbod (talk) 11:33, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Full review needed. Review should specifically address issues of neutrality in both hook and article, in addition to size, sourcing, and the rest of DYK's requirements. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:29, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

See attempted review here --Senra (talk) 10:48, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

  • Note: I have updated the name of the article in this template where appropriate—it changed from 2011 to 2010 on January 22—for clarity. Senra, I think it might be best if the review were to appear here rather than on the nominator's talk page, so that the issues you found are part of the history here. • Because of the politically controversial nature of this topic, my review will be a little more strict than most reviews.
  • The sentence "Tymoshenko is one of Ukraine's most important politicians" is probably true, but too vague in my mind. The sentence preceding it already mentions that she's a former Prime Minister, so I don't see the need for this sentence.
  • The article needs copyediting by a native speaker.
  • The article uses parentheses excessively.
  • I find the article generally hard to read. This is in part due to the previously mentioned problems, but also because the prose has no real flow. The information needs to be organized better; single-sentence paragraphs and sections need to be merged.
  • I haven't really been able to assess the article's neutrality. Maybe these other issues could be taken care of first.--Carabinieri (talk) 18:03, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Your suggestions are very useful but I feel I am not the right person to implement them.... (I could be the right person after a few months when I have "developed a fresh look at it" and thus can develop a better prose). This probably means it this DYK-nomination will fail. But the input I got because of it was useful indeed (for this and other Wiki-articles; I do have a tendency to use parenthesis...). 0% hard feelings and thanks! — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 00:56, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

  • Thank you for responding. Given that you don't think you are the person to pursue this further at this time, and the nomination is a month and a half old already, I think we need to close this submission. I'm afraid the nomination will not be promoted. Thanks for trying, and I'm glad you found the comments you received useful. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:29, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
