Cornelia James (glovemaker)
edit- ...
that glovemaker to the British crown, Cornelia James, was accepted by the art college that rejected Adolf Hitler?
- ALT1:... that Queen Elizabeth II's glovemaker, Cornelia James, was accepted by the art college that rejected Adolf Hitler?

- Article created on 18 Jan/nom on 25 Jan/new enough. 2251 char/long enough. Neutral. Citations appear throughout. No image with nomination. Both hooks are 118 char/under maximum. Interesting. The Royal Warrant Holder verifies the part of the main hook that she made gloves for the British crown. Issues:
- QPQ missing Done SusunW (talk) 18:20, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- Close paraphrasing, "to make the "going-away" gloves for the then Princess Elizabeth after her marriage to Prince Phillip" is a direct quote and must be so marked or paraphrased. Done SusunW (talk) 18:20, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- DYK requires citations to immediately follow the claimed pieces of the hook. Though "Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, (the same college that rejected Adolf Hitler)." is stated in the article, the New York Times citation is not noted immediately following. - Not being familiar with what a Royal Warrant Holder is, I clicked on the link to the article which says that people holding a warrant "supply goods or services to a royal court or certain royal personages". Does not say that automatically is to the Queen. However, your source, The Telegraph specifically states the firm is the Queen's official glovemaker. That information must be stated and cited in the article for the hook to be valid. It is the more interesting hook, IMO. Done SusunW (talk) 18:20, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- Interesting article. Please ping me when the corrections are done. Thanks! SusunW (talk) 22:55, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you SusunW for a thorough review. I've now done the QPQ and addressed the other issues. Edwardx (talk) 18:03, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- I think you're right that ALT1 is more interesting for the general reader, so will strike the other hook, to make the prep builder's task easier. Edwardx (talk) 18:05, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
