Corbin Sharun edit

5x expanded by BU Rob13 (talk). Self-nominated at 06:15, 1 August 2015 (UTC).

  • Dates are good, expansion is more than adequate, tone is neutral, citations are sufficient for DYK, appears to avoid close paraphrasing, QPQ is satisfied, hook fact is properly cited and factual but could be more interesting. Player scores a touchdown on a blown play? Nice. Player scores his only CFL career touchdown on a blown play? Fascinating. It's all good otherwise so I'm applying the green check but your article would be better served if you (or any interested editor) would propose a hookier ALT1. I'll come running to check it out if you do. - Dravecky (talk) 00:43, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
  • @Dravecky: How about one of the following? Note that the difference between the two is a repetition of "touchdown", but that repetition may aid in understanding/clarity. I'm leaning ALT1, but could be persuaded.
ALT1: ... that Canadian football player Corbin Sharun caught a 35-yard pass from holder Matt Nichols following a failed field goal snap, earning each player their first career touchdown?
ALT2: ... that Canadian football player Corbin Sharun caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from holder Matt Nichols following a failed field goal snap, earning each player their first career touchdown?

  • Yes, much better! I prefer ALT1 as it avoids repetition but I'll leave the choice between ALT1 and ALT2 to the promoter. - Dravecky (talk) 03:04, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
