  • ... that New York City's Rockefeller Center was constructed only because the Metropolitan Opera backed out of an agreement to build a new opera house in Midtown Manhattan? Source: Krinsky, Carol H. (1978). Rockefeller Center. Oxford University Press. ISBN 978-0-19502-404-3, p. 50.

  • Article looks good, if rather lengthy, and was promoted to GA on 4 February. AGF on offline sources. Would suggest "... that at the time of the construction of Rockefeller Center, it was the largest private development project ever undertaken?" QPQ is still needed. • Thanks for the review. I will do a QPQ soon. I would also go with your hook, which I'll call ALT3 for the sake of convenience. epicgenius (talk) 17:44, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
  • @Epicgenius: you have so many amazing free images in this article, and so much detailed material, can't you come up with an eye-catching lead hook? Yoninah (talk) 23:41, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
  • ALT3: ... that although the original plans for the construction of Rockefeller Center (pictured) included a system of rooftop gardens connected by bridges, only seven disconnected gardens were built? • ALT5: ... that Rockefeller Center's iconic ice rink was originally created as a temporary measure during its construction? Source: Okrent 2003, p. 360
  • ALT6: ... that after several property owners refused to leave their houses during the construction of Rockefeller Center (pictured), workers simply built around these properties? Source: Okrent 2003, pp. 93–94, although this image says it all.
  • @Yoninah: Which one would you prefer? I personally like ALT6 more. Incidentally, I have amended it to remove "the" from before "Rockefeller Center". The page was renamed following an RM because there is no "the" before "Rockefeller Center". epicgenius (talk) 02:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
  • @Epicgenius: ALT6 is fine with me. I would prefer to see more detail in the hook, such as how many blocks the complex took over, the number of properties that were taken over, or better, the 4,000 tenants that were evicted to build this thing, but if you're happy with ALT6, I'll approve it. Yoninah (talk) 14:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
  • But if not, we can just go with ALT6. epicgenius (talk) 14:12, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks, I really like ALT7. I added the location. Prefer with the image, so readers can see the size of the site. Offline hook ref AGF and cited inline. Image is PD. Rest of review per The ed17. ALT7 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 14:19, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
