  • The article was nominated a few hours after the deadline of 7 days, but I'm overlooking it under WP:Goodfaith. If someone objects, please comment below.
The article has never been featured on the main page and is long enough. It uses inline citations that are properly formatted and displayed in a Reference section. There are no dispute templates or copyright violations detected on Earwig's Copy Vio detector, and the article is neutral. The hook is short enough and neutral. The facts in the hook cannot be verified from the original source because Google books won't let me read the book, so again I will pass on WP:Goodfaith that the facts are in that source.
For the hook, it talks about plantations on the sheltered part of the mountains, but your article does not mention this. Either the article should state this with a citation or that part of the hook should be removed. Also, the hook mentions the "Cordillera region" but it wasn't wikified and I can't figure out what that is. Besides, I think mentioning that region is not needed to understand the hook. Also, the "C" in "coffee" should not be capitalised, but this is a simple formatting fix. I would propose the following:
ALT 1 ... that plantations on the mountains in Alto Paraguay Department proved viable for coffee production in Paraguay?
Please ping me if I do not respond to the review. Z1720 (talk) 02:35, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
  • I approve of ALT 2. Please note: I am giving the blue checkmark because the hook uses an offline hook reference and thus I am accepting it in good faith. Z1720 (talk) 03:27, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
