Coffee field in Guadeloupe

Created by Rosiestep (talk), Nvvchar (talk), and Dr. Blofeld (talk). Nominated by Rosiestep (talk) at 02:59, 10 June 2015 (UTC).

  • Article created by Rosiestep on 3 June as stated, 2163 characters readable prose in length, no obvious copyvio issues, neutral, conforms to policies. Hook cited online. Seems good to go!--Ykraps (talk) 14:43, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
  • I was about to promote this but was dissatisfied with the hook, which is really pretty meaningless. Does the country produce coffee now? What is being rediscovered? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:35, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
  • After reading the article, I took it to mean that the long tradition of coffe growing has been rediscovered through ecotourism. I altered the wording in the article to make this clearer and perhaps I should have done the same with the hook, but thought the slight confusion might encourage people to click on it and read it. The hook is perhaps not the most interesting but I've seen a lot worse.--Ykraps (talk) 08:42, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
@Rosiestep: The latest production figure is for 1899. Do they still grow coffee commercially in Guadeloupe and what do the ecotourists have to do with it? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:29, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: I think I've clarified the historical production figures, and here's ALT1: ... that Guadeloupe's coffee heritage is being promoted through ecotourism? --Rosiestep (talk) 19:51, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
  • That's better, I am re-ticking this on the basis of Ykraps review and my approval of ALT1. The image is properly licensed too. Good to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:08, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
