Chris Redfield edit

  • ... that video game character Chris Redfield was accused of steroid abuse? Source: 1
    • ALT1:... that Chris Redfield is the only Resident Evil character to star in three consecutive games? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)
    • ALT2:... that following his Resident Evil 5 redesign, Chris Redfield's been described as one of the sexiest characters in video games? Source: 1st or 2nd

DYK review:

  • New: Recently promoted to GA status.
  • Long enough: By a mile.
  • Within policy: Article reads in a neutral way and does not give undue weight to any one aspect. An Earwig's Copyvio Detector analysis breeds 28.1% - Violation Unlikely
  • Hook format: Fine
  • Hook content: I don't like the use of the phrases "has been described" or "has been accused". You should be specific, and cite the source in the hook. E.g. ... that Engaget accused video game character Chris Redfield of steroid abuse?
  • QPQ done
  • The 4 images are either free / fair, with appropriate image summaries

Please respond to the comment I made about your hooks. To reiterate, I'm fine with any, but I think you need to add specificity because atm it's too vague and required the [by whom?] tag.--Coin945 (talk) 04:16, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

@Coin945: Replaced first "has been" with was, however I think with ALT2 I'm gonna keep it. Replacing it kinda changes the flow for me to be honest. As for citing the sources withing the hook, I haven't really seen that being done in any previous but more importantly, do you think it will look good? Does it matter who said that? Cause if I do in fact say "Engadget accused..." it kind of loses it's hook in comparison to a person actually going through the article to try and find out who made that comment. I suppose for a hook you're allowed to be a bit vague and suspicious to inspire intrigue. After reading your argument above, I'm happy to accept any hook.--Coin945 (talk) 08:45, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
@Coin945: I guess the problem with ALT1 is that while it is true; Chris having starred in 5, Revelations and 6, I haven't found a source for that and honestly I'm not sure if it's as interesting as the other two. Which one do you think would attract more people? "Steroid abuse" or "sexy guy"? PanagiotisZois (talk) 12:35, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
