Zhao Kuang Yin was still sound asleep in the room and did not know what had happened outside. At dawn of 4 January the generals pushed the door of the bedroom open and entered the room with their armor on and swords in their hands. They said, “Now we do not have a master. We will make you Emperor!” Zhao Kuang Yin was so surprised that he jumped up from his bed. Before he could give an answer, a general had draped a yellow robe on him.” From page 64.
